Biology

From the Ancient Greek  βίος (bíos, “bio-, life”) + -λογία (-logía, “-logy, branch of study, to speak”). 


Biology is the science that looks at all things living; it is the earth and life science. A scientist working in this field is referred to as a Biologist.

Genetics heredity & variation of inherited characteristics
Pharmacology preparation & use of drugs & synthetic medicines

In the 16th century the microscope was invented which led to great advancements in biology and created new sciences such as microbiology (the study of microscopic forms of life).
